Adding or editing a federated search source

Each search source establishes a connection to information that patrons can search. Portfolio supports 360 Search, Z39.50, EDS, and Reserve search source types. For each search source that you create, you define the source type and the connection information to that search source. You can also set up one or more search targets for a search source. To add or edit a new federated search source

Choose Federated Search Sources.

Do one of these options:

Choose Add Source to add a new federated search source, then choose the source type from the drop-down list. (For more information, see Fields: Add Federated Search Source .)

Click the Edit option next to the federated search source that you want to edit.

Complete the fields, as necessary. (For more information, see Fields: Add/Edit Z39.50 Source, Fields: Add/Edit 360 Source , Fields: Add/Edit Reserve Source, or Fields: Add/Edit EDS Source.)

Choose OK to save your changes, or choose Cancel to discard your changes and return to Federated Search Sources.
